About Us

Established in 1974

The Ocean Pines Players enjoy a long history of bringing entertainment to the greater Ocean Pines area including Ocean City, Fenwick, Berlin, and Snow Hill.

The OCEAN PINES PLAYERS was established in 1974 and received non-profit status from the IRS on August 31, 1984, for the entertainment of the greater Ocean City, Maryland area. Incorporated July 28, 2000, in the state of Maryland, the non-profit theater group funds scholarship programs for students through ticket proceeds. Known locally for their comedy, drama, and “who done it?” productions, they also present cabaret events including fun holiday-themed shows suitable for the entire family.
Bringing history alive through our historical recreations is a favorite among the actors in the group, like the annual Berlin Peach Festival and OC Life-Saving Station Museum’s Summer Programs as well as many of the local historical museums that are unique to the Delmarva region. The Ocean Pines Players welcome “beginners” by highlighting that “experience is not required.” It is a policy of the group to hold "open auditions" for all events as an effort to encourage members of the community to participate in live theater. We reach out to those interested in learning performance or even stage assistance, makeup, costumes, lighting, and sound.
Everyone is vital to the show’s ultimate success. The community’s support rounds out the volunteer effort.

The Ocean Pines Players values diversity and inclusion in casting, and in all other areas of the organization.
